ProSeed – Prosperity through Educational and Employment Development is increasingly focused on employment generation as the most effective route to long-term economic development. While education is crucial, meaningful and secure employment is where we want to focus to enable individuals to support themselves and their families – especially in rapidly growing economies such as Kenya and Uganda.

ProSeed is funded by an endowment, has minimal overheads, and no paid staff or trustees. The investment income from this allows us to support our current partner organisations indefinitely at existing funding levels. We do not seek donations or grants. All the organisations we support share a clear focus on employment or income growth, are well run, and operate sustainable models. We meet them regularly and carry out hands-on due diligence.

ProSeed can also act as a conduit for other small charities or foundations with similar aims, offering access to well-vetted opportunities. Any funding can be provided directly or channelled through ProSeed, with 100% passed on to the selected organisation.

It is very rewarding to see the impact we have been able to achieve, and that we can achieve in the future. Quite simply we are punching way above our weight.
