East African Playgrounds (EAP) builds and installs playgrounds across Uganda, working with schools and aid agencies to create safe, engaging spaces for children. EAP has always been the organisation delivering the playgrounds on the ground, responding to strong local demand – particularly in schools and refugee-affected communities.

Following disruption during the Covid period and the closure of a former UK partner, EAP has adapted by rescaling its operations and focusing on funded installations. It continues to work with organisations such as UNICEF and ChildFund Uganda, while rebuilding in a sustainable way.

EAP operates as a not-for-profit social enterprise, generating its own income and supporting local employment and skills development. Our support is helping EAP through this recovery phase so it can continue delivering lasting impact for children across Uganda.
