Please note we are currently NOT accepting funding applications and cold approaches from people or organisations we don’t personally know. We’re only a small organisation with limited funds and we’re currently at the capacity of organisations we can support.
Our funding criteria is to assist small charities and NGOs focused on educational and employment generation projects in Southern and Eastern Africa that are:
- Small well managed charities/NGOs focused on educational and employment generation
- Area of operation in Southern or Eastern Africa or charities/NGOs currently working in other low-income countries and wanting to expand their service provision into this area
- Maximum revenue of £1million
- A sustainable management and funding structure
- Vision and ability to substantially scale up current operations
- Open to members of every faith, gender, race, religion, and sexuality
The first grant we make to a new organisation will be for up to £5,000. Subsequent annual grants can be up to £10,000 with a soft commitment for a five year funding period.
We also occasionally support projects or organisations that are close to the hearts of the trustees of the charity, even if the projects are outside the above criteria.
ProSeed has unrestricted reserves of c£500,000 and an annual income of c£20,000. We currently have five core African partnerships and a commitment to provide ongoing grant funding to Yacumadre.
