Robert – Chairman

Robert has worked in the private equity industry for 30 years.  His main role has been with portfolio companies to help them grow and maximize their value.  Robert hopes to bring some of this experience to Pro-Seed.  Robert has volunteered with Africa Now, an NGO helping to alleviate poverty through trade.  He is an Advisory Committee member of Milk Mantra – a start up dairy in India bringing small scale farmers into the supply chain.  He is currently focused  on sector wide development in East Africa through a variety of ventures.

Tom – Programme Manager

Tom has spent a lot of his time both working and volunteering in the not for profit sector.  He undertook work experience for Microloan Foundation based in Malawi.  He has taught the educationally disadvantaged in the UK, football and English in disadvantaged regions of South Africa and Brazil, and worked for an NGO in Colombia.  He has also completed a Masters in Sustainable Development. He’s now a co-founder of Yacumadre.

Louise – Programme Manager

Louise is a British ski champion, a former Europa Cup skier and an outstanding sportswoman.  She has a first class degree in Biomedical science.  She has volunteered at the Samson MS Rehabilitation Centre and currently works for a well respected consulting firm in London.

Anne – Secretary

Anne qualified as an accountant with PwC. Anne has been treasurer of Girl Guides London region and is currently a trustee and treasurer of Grace, an organisation supporting medical research of gynecological cancers.

Jon – Treasurer

Jon has travelled extensively and spent a period working in a township school in South Africa.  He is a qualified accountant, spent some time working in corporate finance with PWC and is now working for a private equity house.  He is a keen sportsman playing for his old school football team and the local village cricket team.

Marianne – Programme Manager

Marianne is a qualified project manager working in development, taking projects through from early design to completion on site, where she leads and manages large multi-disciplinary teams of up to 50 people. She’s passionate about ensuring the developments put ESG at the forefront of the agenda and deliver on this objective. She also works with the East London Business Alliance to mentor and provide career advice to young people in the local area.
